I have pictures of Lily coming as promised, but in the meanwhile, have a few lead-up pictures to post. 

Here’s a pre-Lily picture that was taken a month ago at Em’s shower at my buddy Sloanburger’s house. In the meanwhile, Lily gained about three pounds, giving her mum the profile of an off-shore oil rig.

And before I go any further, let me take a moment to bless the man (or woman) who invented the epidural. For the uninitiated, this is the little trickle of pain killer that is injected in your back during labor that deadens the abdominal regions. If you’ve ever delivered a nine pound baby, you need no more explanation than that…
